THE SOUTH CAROLINA AUBURN UNIVERSITY TAG!
TAG FACTS
- 400 pre-paid applications must be collected prior to issue of the first tag.
- Cost is $70 every two years. Up to 94% of the fee collected from the sale of each tag will go back to Auburn to fund scholarships.
- The normal $24 SC DMV tag fee also applies. The applicant will be notified by the SC DMV if additional registration fees are due. Fees are determined by the expiration date on the owner’s current plate.
- Tags cannot be personalized.
- The first 100 tag numbers are available for assignment for an additional one-time $100 contribution to the Palmetto Auburn Club (PAC) Scholarship. Numbers greater than 100 will be issued by the SC DMV.
HOW TO APPLY
- Download and fill out the Palmetto Auburn Club Auburn University Tag Application form from the PAC website (palmetto.auburnclub.com).
- Download and fill out SC DMV form MV-95 from the PAC website.
- Return both forms to the Palmetto Auburn Club, P.O. Box 353, Mauldin, SC 29662, with your $70 check (payable to the Palmetto Auburn Club).
- When also applying for one of the first 100 reserved tag numbers, include a second check for $100 (payable to the Auburn University Foundation).

DO NOT RETURN ANY FORMS TO THE SC DMV
The Palmetto Auburn Club will hold all checks until the 400 applications required by the SC DMV are received. The number of applications collected to date will be posted weekly on the Club’s website, palmetto.auburnclub.com. Applicants will be informed once the required number of applications have been received.
